Sr. System Engineer

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As our Software Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of software design and implementation. The software will be based on SOLID object-oriented principles and done in compliance with the Software Quality Management System. Additional responsibilities will include: 
  • Designing and implementing software based on SOLID object-oriented design principles. 
  • Writing code that is easy to read, maintainable, and extendable. 
  • Writing and maintaining software unit tests. 
  • Analyzing and solving complex technical problems. 
  • Designing, prototyping, and developing user interface components. 
  • Providing process improvement ideas and best practices for use throughout the development community. 
  • Developing and maintaining software requirements. 
  • Performing software testing using formal test cases. 
  • Developing and reviewing software development project artifacts and documents. 
  • Assists and mentors less senior software development resources.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience. 
  • Thorough knowledge of SOLID object-oriented design principles. 
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps a plus. 
  • Experience with the following tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, .Net, C#, Blazor, and Git. 
  • Experience with web application development is highly preferred. 
  • Software integration experience desired. 
  • Experience with CI/CD (continuous integrations/continuous deployment) is a plus. 
  •  Familiarity with UI design principles and UML. 
  •  Ability to lead and mentor less senior developers.
