Role/Purpose:
The Sales Support Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing all order entry activities in support of the sales department while ensuring that company standards are achieved and maintained with a targeted emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure and documented formalized training for employee development. The position requires a hands-on, self-starter with the ability to motivate and lead subordinates and others. You must also be a skilled communicator who is able to convey information, ideas and policy to all levels within the organization.

As the Sales Support Supervisor you will assist with interpreting, discussing and editing orders received from sales representatives covering a wide range of standard and special products and services.  Assist with clarifying conditions of sales, discounts, commissions, shipping and handling instructions.  Provide project management activity within the Sales Department supporting Product Inspection Division tasks.  Maintain records and related information.  Responsible for the submission of various daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise on-site and remote Order Entry team and Rental/Demo 
  • Support Sales team 
  • Ensure new orders for new sales equipment processed efficiently and correctly
  • Establish & implement KPIs that track department productivity, quality & performance
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports and ensure Quality metrics board is updated
  • Manage the Processing Commission payments for accurate and timely processing
  • Must be organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Able to handle a hectic, fast-paced, multi-task work environment, while maintaining a professional attitude
  • Projects as assigned
  • Research required information using available resources
    • Other duties as assigned

It is required to work longer hours on month end until all the orders are booked, and the month is closed.  Sometimes, the month end may fall on a weekend or holiday, and we may need to work on Saturday or the holiday.  In addition, there is no time off the last 3 days of the month due to month end activities.

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High energy and determination to resolve customer order issues.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Good task and project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with internal customers and co-workers, including maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.
  • Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Maintain professional attitude with exceptional interpersonal skills. 

Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a supervisory function, preferably in sales department
  • Able to type 50 WPM
  • Experience with computerized office systems and software (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook)
  • SAP experience a plus
