Recruiting Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a Recruiting Specialist that will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization, to include screening/interviewing and recommending applicants for all open positions as well as developing and executing recruiting strategies for a variety of positions/levels. This is a hybrid position, with 3-4 days working in the office and 1-2 days with the ability to be remote. Responsibilities include: 
  • Leads Job Strategy Discussions to develop specific recruiting plans with hiring managers. 
  • Proactively sources candidates for open positions; develops proactive recruiting strategies.
  • Stays abreast on cutting edge recruitment methodologies through internal (Talent Acquisition) and external (LinkedIn/Social Media, articles, seminars, etc.) resources.
  • Builds relationships with leaders and employees to improve recruiting strategies and enhance candidate experience.
  • Maintains all records on recruiting activities by working within the applicant tracking system. This includes but is not limited to saving screening notes, obtaining interview feedback, ensuring dispositions are updated, the candidate source is correct, and the stage of the interview process is clearly documented. 
  • Maintains regular contact with possible future candidates to establish and maintain viable candidate pipelines.
  • Collaborates with external recruiters.
  • Provides weekly status updates on open positions and recruiting strategies. 
  • Supports the Affirmative Action goals established by the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience, preferably in Corporate Recruiting; or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • An in-depth understanding of Talent Acquisition principles and practices. 
  • Excellent communication skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task. 
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
  • Tact, diplomacy and the ability to enlist the support of others are essential. Proven ability to work with all levels of employees. 
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Ability to lead initiatives and work as part of a project team.
  • Proven PC skills and experience using Microsoft Office is required, i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint Word, Excel. 
  • Proven experience working within a reputable applicant tracking system.
