Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing the sales and distribution of Ohaus products in a high revenue territory through specified dealers. These dealers consist of business-to-business (B2B) distributors and science education focused distributors. It will be crucial to build strong relationships, keep their catalogs and websites up to date, and have a quick response time. Furthermore, the Key Account Manager will achieve their sales forecast and assure market penetration for their territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visiting key dealers quarterly and attending trade shows; organizing and implementing Ohaus participation in regional and private shows and participating as Ohaus representative in national trade shows and other events.
- Performing website and catalog audits to ensure Ohaus products are fully enriched and present. If Ohaus products are missing, following product addition processes to get as many Ohaus products added as possible.
- Responsible for building and sustaining long-term, strategic relationships with key corporate accounts.
- Identifying growth opportunities within key accounts, developing and implementing plans to achieve sustainable growth.
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure all aspects of accounts are properly addressed and satisfied.
- Managing and maintaining high remarks on any dealer scorecards.
- Creating sales contracts, contingency agreements, and conditional discounting to grow business exponentially.
- Ensuring proper marketing of Ohaus products by distributors.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related science field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in industry related sales.
- Ability to travel up to 15% across North America.
- Can be located anywhere within North America, however the Midwest is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP or other CRM system.
