In this role, your responsibilities would include:
- You will lead the overall software architecture by designing scalable and maintainable solutions that align with both business goals and technical requirements.
- You will select and evaluate appropriate technologies and frameworks to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability across our product portfolio, drawing on your systems-engineering background that integrates mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
- You will ensure security compliance by embedding company security standards into architectural decisions and keeping them up to date with evolving threats and best practices.
- You will mentor and guide the software development team and fellow architects in architectural principles, clean code, and best practices through design reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and cross-team collaboration.
- You will manage stakeholder communication effectively, supporting clear negotiation and presentation to align project goals with the technical vision.
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable working experience.
- You have at least five years of hands-on experience in software architecture within an embedded environment, ideally in industrial high-tech or product development settings.
- You possess excellent in-depth knowledge of C++ programming and Linux operating systems (Debian).
- You are familiar with or eager to engage with C# and Python.
- You are skilled at deriving technical architecture directly from customer requirements and business drivers.
- You have demonstrated leadership in collaborating with cross-functional architect teams to build a cohesive, evolutionary, and maintainable technical vision.
- You have experience mentoring and upskilling engineers and architects, promoting a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for clean code and elegant design.
- You have strong interpersonal skills, are fluent in English, and thrive in a multicultural, international setting, German is a plus.
