Product Manager - Software/Data Analytics

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Our Software Marketing team is searching for a Product Manager to define our software product strategy, manage our existing and future software portfolio, and develop and drive the Data Analytics strategy and roadmap for the global AutoChem organization. You will work closely with our data scientists as well as other software Product Managers to shape the future of real-time insights and modelling in chemistry. Responsibilities will include
  • Proactively owning the customer experience for software and work to exceed their expectations with regular contact with key end users and product champions at customer sites to continuously educate and empower them to get the maximum value out of their AutoChem software
  • Developing our software strategy to push the platform to the next level
  • Developing the global data analytics strategy and roadmap for the AutoChem organization
  • Seeking solutions to problems and propose improvements to improve efficiency – be innovative
  • Acting as the voice of the customer within the METTLER TOLEDO organization
  • Working with METTLER TOLEDO sales organizations globally to identify and support applications of our customers
  • Developing and executing training programs for our Field Service, Sales, and Support teams on software use, installation, go-to-market plans, and general policies
  • Assisting the Head of Software Marketing with software strategy related tasks, including new software product development and releases

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in product marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong data science background, chemometrics preferred
  • Have knowledge of or previous work experience in GLP/GMP environments, preferred
  • Data analysis or visualization experience a plus
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, being able to shape a vision and break it down into actionable packages
  • Have knowledge of network/communication and cloud domain preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convert complex concepts into clear messages
  • Strong software skills; MS Office competency required with a demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and in an international team environment
  • Experience with conducting training or presenting to groups, in-person and/or virtually
