- Inspecting purchased mechanical parts, assemblies, and materials for conformance to drawing requirements and specifications, using precision measuring tools, instruments, and optical comparators.
- Working to and following controlled procedures and documents.
- Following inspection protocols as defined by engineering.
- Authoring quality notifications as needed.
- Maintaining a inventory accuracy of over 98% MRB on both a value and absolute quantity value basis.
- Maintaining and updating PMI database.
- Assisting in the tracking of nonconforming products and verifying effective corrective action.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school courses in mechanical inspection or related field is desirable.
- 2+ years of experience inspecting electronic and mechanical parts, components, and assemblies.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must have a working knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Must be able to select and use appropriate measurement tools with a working understanding of the fundamentals of precision measurement.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or GMP regulations.
- CQI or SAP experience is a plus.
