Industrial Key Account Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Metler Toldeo is looking for an Industrial Key Account Manager responsible for developing and managing a select group of National Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Industrial accounts focused in the Engineering, Machinery, & Equipment Manufacturing (EMEM) segment across the US, with the objective of achieving revenue targets.  You will work to identify, develop and support business opportunities with a selected group of National EPC firms. As a recognized expert on applications of the OEM Group, you will also establish peer-based relationships with other sales representatives and the distribution channel, while ensuring sustainable growth of the IND business in their assigned region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities    
  • Develop and manage specific EPC accounts on a direct and indirect basis, focused primarily on Core IND Product solutions. 
  • Grow sales revenue in the National EPC segment of accounts through active participation in the sales process including conducting seminars, pre and post sales visits, and executing the Sales Force Guidance Group Initiative.
  • Provide consultative support in the sales process for the IND Core solutions to a select group of National Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms across various sales channels and commercial alignments. 
  • Generate cross-selling opportunities for other Product Divisions.
  • In coordination with the OEM Business Manager, assist with the marketing and business strategy for IND product solutions to National EPC firms.  
  • Promote and proactively conduct product-selling activities to include calling on existing and new accounts withing the National Engineering, Procurement, and Engineering segment.  
  • Develop sales opportunities in conjunction with Product Management and the SBU Team through the provision of webinars, lunch & learn seminars, technical consulting and application reviews.  Candidate will work to promote customer attendance at commercial events. 
  • Develop strong application and product knowledge and serve as a recognized expert for IND/OEM Core products, Automated Precision Weighing (APW), and integrated automation of Mettler Toledo solutions.  
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college preferred; Associate's degree (AA) with a technical major or equivalent from two-year College is acceptable.
  • Industrial Engineering background preferably.
  • Experience in the value selling approach to sales; methodical and structured preparation of sales opportunities (calls+ visits) and follow up.
  • Previous weighing, PLC connection and automation networking experience a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience in computer connectivity and process control theory.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office software and knowledgeable with PC applications, related computer connectivity, and process control theory. 
  • Solid presentation skills to large audiences, organizational skills and professional image.
