Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, identifying and escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide HR guidance in alignment with company policies and manufacturing standards.
  • Review employee information in Human Capital Management (HCM) program (new hire, terminations, pay/position changes, organizational assignments, personal data, and provides reports as requested, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
  • Partner with HR leadership for HCM implementation and support
  • Responsible for the HR SharePoint sites and associated maintenance
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation
  • Complete I-9 and E-Verify for new hires.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the time-keeping system (ADP), supporting HR and leadership teams by delivering training sessions to new managers.
  • Manage ADP records for new and current employees, ensuring accurate data entry and timely completion of payroll reports and related processes.
  • Maintain HR data tracking outside of HCM (e.g., tuition reimbursement, progressive discipline reports, org charts, and various reports).
  • Partner with UNUM and HR Leaders to track the Leave of Absence (LOA) process by coordinating with employees and managers, ensuring accurate documentation, tracking LOA status, and facilitating timely communication to maintain compliance and support workforce planning
  • Monitor LMS completion status and proactively notify relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion and maintain compliance with training requirements.
  • Assist with the research and compilation of information necessary to respond to unemployment claims within the set deadlines.
  • Support existing and new employee engagement activities (SMAC, Above and Beyond, Service Awards, etc)
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee engagement and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and support audit readiness
  • Serve as a backup within our SAP HCM system
  • Complete other duties or projects and/or programs as required.

What You Need to Succeed

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma
  • An understanding of HR principles and practices; HR Certification preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at various levels within the organization.
  • Proven Intermediate PC skills and experience using various software packages are required, i.e. Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Tact, diplomacy and the ability to enlist the support of others.
  • Required to adhere to high levels of confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment.
