Financial Reporting Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading the UK finance accounting and reporting function, managing a team of finance professionals and working closely with operational stakeholders and global Shared Service Centres.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to combine technical accounting expertise with people leadership and business partnering within a dynamic multinational organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial reporting while driving continuous improvement across finance processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

As Finance Reporting Manager, you will:

  • Lead the financial reporting and accounting activities for the UK organisation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in accordance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and corporate requirements.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance and key stakeholders to provide financial insight and support informed business decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Build effective working relationships with global Shared Service Centres to ensure high-quality accounting support and service delivery.
  • Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, controls, and reporting practices.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, corporate policies, and SOX regulations.
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisers, and HMRC.
  • Prepare and oversee statutory accounts, tax packs, VAT returns, and regulatory submissions.
  • Support working capital optimisation, with particular focus on accounts receivable performance.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
  • SAP experience, including reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion would be advantageous.
  • Excellent understanding of financial controls and data integrity.
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global matrix environment. 
  • A strong communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels
