Software Product Specialist

Are you searching for a position in software marketing and global program management? Do you love making customers more successful?  Do you have a solid software background, don't mind when it gets technical with customer's IT departments, and at the same time break complex problems down into an easy to understand language?  

If this sounds like a position for you, we are searching for a Software Product Specialist in our fast growing global software team. This position will manage key elements of our Software Subscription program worldwide and provide advanced software support for both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Proactively own the customer experience for software and work to exceed their expectations by maintaining regular contact with key end users and product champions at customer sites to continuously educate and empower them to get maximum value from their AutoChem software
  • Looking for solutions to problems and proposing improvements. Be the voice of the customer within the Mettler organization.
  • Working with local Mettler organizations globally to identify and support new Software Subscription opportunities
  • Assisting with software installations remotely or in person, worldwide, if necessary
  • Providing software related support to customers for escalated issues including email, phone support or possible on-site visits, if needed
  • Developing and executing training programs for the Field Service, Sales, and Support Teams on software use, installation, go-to-market plans, and general policies
  • Performing periodic analysis of software sales results and metrics from customer logs to identify trends and opportunities for the business
  • Managing the AutoChem Customer Community webpage, managing content and working with our vendor to make any necessary updates and improvements
  • Developing customer-facing sales collateral as needed for software products
  • Assisting the Software Marketing Manager with software strategy related tasks, including new software product development and releases

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology with strong customer service or business experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Science with significant computer knowledge/experience
  • One to two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to perform in a stressful environment
  • Strong computer skills; MS Office competency required with a demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of databases and queries preferred
  • Data analysis or visualization experience is a plus 
  • Knowledge of network/communication troubleshooting preferred
  • Experience with website configuration or development; Drupal knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience with conducting training or presenting to groups, in person and/or remotely
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%, which may include extended overnight trips, some international travel may also be required
  • SAP knowledge preferred
