Data Quality Standards Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Data Quality Standards Specialist works on basic configuration, setting up data quality standards, enabling necessary checks in passive governance tools, and functional system monitoring. Together with process experts, takes part in functional processes review and adjustment and is accountable for the design and effective implementation of Data Governance management and data administration processes. 

The person in this position: 
  • Sets up the basic configuration for country templates per functional and technical requirements and guidance (ECC/CRM), designs and conducts testing of the introduced configuration.
  • Takes part in design and implementation activities in close collaboration with the Process Champions, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects.
  • Designs and develops data quality standards for data standardization and deduplication, builds the designed rules in the quality checking tools.
  • Monitors incidents and changes as well as other services provided by third-party companies.
  • Shows strong ownership of driven changes, supporting delivery and making sure that change properly goes through its lifecycle.
  • Works under the direction of the Solution Architect to ensure enhancements do not adversely affect the template and remain aligned to the SAP standard offering.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Min. 3 years of experience Data Governance area or in SD/MM or with Data Quality Tools.
  • Experience in analyzing business requirements, identifying gaps and designing custom solutions that meet those needs.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance processes and awareness how SQL syntax works.
  • Very good knowledge of English.
  • Ability to talk to business stakeholders and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Structured, detailed working methodology, continuous improvement approach and process orientation. 
Your additional assets:
  • Ability to understand and debug ABAP code. 
  • Functional knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP CRM. 
  • Knowledge of ABAP/KNIME/Address Validation services.
