Release Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will plan and manage the release events ranging from large or smaller improvements, via infrastructure changes including patching, to everyday fixes.  You will be engaged in technical aspects of delivery (e.g. transport management, technical cutovers, etc), as well as the planning aspect of the same. You will be acting as a gatekeeper for release management processes, focusing on delivering a smooth and seamless transition into production, minimizing service risk for our business and customers.

Your role:
  • Technically manage the deployment of the solution across our landscapes.
  • Bundle individual changes into the relevant releases (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • Communicate release management relevant deadlines to delivery teams.
  • Manage operational communication related to ongoing release: conflict communication, code reversion, etc.
  • Provide input for the business communication related to the ongoing release.
  • Manage the cooperation with the Transport Management team.
  • Prepare analysis related to release management-specific KPIs.
  • Manage and improve the release management tools and processes.
  • Lead preparation of Release Management Calendar and Integration planning events. 
  • Cooperate with the external partners (service providers, audits). 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Release management experience (at least 2-3 years expected). 
  • Practical knowledge of working with SAP or SalesForce. 
  • Transport management and/or cutover experience. 
  • Knowledge and practical experience in Agile and/or SCRUM approach. 
  • Fluency in English to be able to effectively communicate and cooperate with people from different countries. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience. 
  • Programming skills would be an asset. 
  • Open and trustworthy personality. 
  • Commitment to enforcing processes. 
  • Attention to detail, lean and improvement-seeking mindset.
