Senior Financial Analyst

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities


The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for providing key support for the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly financial reporting, analysis and controls as well as playing a key role in analyzing, reporting, correcting and communicating variances, cost fluctuations, and inventory balances. This position will support the Finance Management Team in driving improvements across the organization by providing analysis for the decision making process and deriving actions. Additionally, this position will lead a variety of local initiatives to drive improvements in the overall business performance – more specifically in the manufacturing processes including optimizing cost levels (material, labor) by providing detailed analysis to the key management stakeholders and coordinating cross-departmental improvements.

  • Provides key support for the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly and annual closing and the related financial reporting such as journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Provides key support of management reporting and analysis including but not limited to sales, margins/costs, expenses, sales forecasts, and balance sheet trends and assists explaining/documenting key fluctuations vs. prior year, budget, and forecast
  • Supporting the compilation and development of financial reporting and analysis
  • Responsible for tracking quarterly forecasted shipments for outlook monitoring purposes
  • Responsible for building accurate reporting of inventory and cost of goods sold in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Plays a lead role in identifying, accounting for, and mitigating purchase price and production variances
  • Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels across the organization
  • Significant active participation in the financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Support a strong financial control environment and compliance with SOX as well and liase with internal / external audits
  • Support strategic initiatives as a key contributor from the definition to project management
    • Other duties or tasks as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·         Excellent computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Hyperion, ERP System

·         Strong knowledge of accounting compliance to U.S. GAAP in Manufacturing Industry

·         Strong knowledge of SOX requirements

·         Excellent organizational skills and analytical ability

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization

·         Must be detail oriented and accurate with data and reporting

·         Builds trust, able to engage in a productive conflict, committed, self-accountable, and able to drive collectives results

·         Flexible, humble, self-motivated, diligent, demonstrates common sense about people, and able to prioritize

·         BS/BA in Accounting (CPA and/or MBA preferred)

·         Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting / financial analysis

·         SAP experience (required minimum 3 years at recent job) / BI experience (preferred)
