Service Inside Sales Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Service Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for supporting Eagle Product Inspection's Direct and Indirect Service organization by nurturing inbound requests and leads for services and parts upgrade projects, as well as actively prospecting to create field-organized visits within high target accounts. The role will require dynamic skills to work with our marketing, field, and management teams to ensure we provide service solutions that meet the customer needs, which will result in higher sales revenue and enhance the overall customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Deliver World Class Customer service with a focus on increasing customer retention rate and providing outstanding customer support
  • Develop a high level of technical expertise in regards to the applicable business area’s service offerings. Understand and be able to effectively communicate the service customer's business needs.
  • Review service agreement documents prior to order entry for accuracy 
  • Interface with internal and external customers to provide information about existing contracts and pricing agreements
  • Update, review and maintain existing contracts/addendums to reflect accurate install-base equipment and service level agreements
  • Use outbound prospecting skills to find relevant service contacts within high-target accounts.
  • Actively mine for account visits within target field accounts. 
  • Actively lead customers through the service sales cycle from quote to closing of sales for parts upgrades and service offerings. 
  • Manage incoming demand, i.e. calls, emails or requests for price, availability or quote. Ensure quality service with focus on service level, customer service, and urgency to response/follow-up
  • Lead generation through contact with customers: when the involvement of a sales representative is required for high-end product opportunities, execute proper submission of lead details for external pursuit
  • Assure database integrity by validating and correcting the data housed within our CRM at every practical opportunity
  • Entry of sales leads for external sales pursuit; and pursuit of select open leads for closure
  • Management and organization of the service sales inbox that involves lead creation from emails received and distribution to other service sales team members as required
  • Accurately and quickly, provide reference quote for products, services, and solutions to high-potential accounts based on field sales representative guidance
  • Executing outbound renewal activities, employing professional communication skills in their pursuit, and accurately managing and recording data generated from these efforts. 
  • Manage incoming calls from customers that are in response to their renewal efforts
  • Assist senior management by providing weekly updates about recurring business issues that require a proactive approach, or trends that suggest alternate sales offers or approaches, through regular communication or team meetings
  • Overall general and technical knowledge and application of the EAGLE Product Inspection service offerings
  • May be asked to attend trade-shows to advocate and prospect for new service sales opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of all internal applications related to service sales and marketing, including but not limited to SAP CRM and ECC
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills; ability to handle a complex and highly communicative environment
  • The ability to make confident and reasoned decisions regarding processes that affect every day work, and the ability to understand when to involve Sales and Service management with respect to discounts, and special terms and conditions, is required
  • Act as backup for core customer service processes (Answer inbound general customer call, Schedule/Dispatch) for vacation coverage or as designated
    • Other tasks and duties as assigned

  • The ability to determine when and how to involve other departments and teams to ensure that exceptional support is being provided to internal and external customers at all times
  • Must establish and maintain an open, professional and efficient means of communication with all internal and external customers.
  • Must take a proactive role with pinpointing breakdowns in processes and communications regarding service sales functions, and be able to provide proactive help with minimal supervision
  • Must establish and maintain an attitude of quickly responding to internal and external customers' needs
  • Ability to work effectively with other Sales and Support team members in a highly variable and often stressful environment is required
  • Must work collaboratively and cooperatively within the department and with other teams to meet operational and sales target goals

Education & Experience
  • An associate's degree is required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 2-3 years in sales, customer service and/or marketing experience
  • Outbound call center experience and tele sales skills training are preferred
  • Qualified candidate should be competitive and have the desire to excel in a fast-paced aftermarket service sales environment and the ability to connect with various personality types 
  • In-line Food Manufacturing Product Inspection product knowledge is a plus

Physical requirements: 
  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task several projects at once.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual
  • Possess outstanding telephone and virtual communication skills 
  • Ability to lift item up to 10 lbs. Unassisted.
  • On occasion travel may be required to customer sites for direct support and special projects. Expectation is less than 4 times per year or less than 10%.
