Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are currently hiring Materials Clerk to join our manufacturing operations in Oakland, California.

The Materials Clerk position is primarily responsible loading and unloading shipments, picks jobs, handles customer orders and moves materials within warehouse. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor for Rainin.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

Picking and packing international and domestic customer orders via bar coding pick system.
Shipping via multiple shipping manifest systems; having some experience with Federal Express and international carriers would be helpful. Obtaining quotes from carriers and formatting and updating an Excel spreadsheet for international shipping.
Repackaging orders if required with additional labels, swapping out literature and bar code scanning.
Loading materials into vehicles and installing straps, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Operating industrial truck or electric pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Assisting in maintaining the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner.

What You Need to Succeed

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or a combination of education and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in warehouse and shipping.
Must be able to operate material handling equipment including a forklift.
Previous experience in inventory software and order processing systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
SAP knowledge a plus.
