Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Our HR Director plans, directs, and oversees all aspects of human resources and training for the Troemner unit in Thorofare, NJ. You will partner with the senior leadership team and GM to:
  • Provide leadership and consultative support on all HR topics including talent management, employee relations, talent acquisition, people development and more.
  • Understand and respond to business needs, build strong relationships with unit leaders and employees.
  • Recruit as needed, working with partners as applicable to bring on talented individuals into open roles and maintain focus on workforce planning.
  • Maintain effective employee relations programs and processes including recognition and rewards, wellness programs, coaching and discipline, succession planning and development.
  • Administer our benefits plans, leaves of absences, bonuses/compensation programs, annual performance evaluation cycle.
  • Work alongside our payroll vendor (ADP).
  • Follow established policies and legal or governmental regulations.
  • This position has one payroll administrator as a direct report.

What You Need to Succeed

We are looking for a senior HR professional who is comfortable in a manufacturing environment. These are the key things we are looking for:
  • 10+ years of HR experience, with three years in a senior-level leadership position
  • Great partnering and collaboration skills
  • Proven record of serving as a strategic partner to the business, wearing all HR hats at once
  • A strategic HR thinker who can drive change, work closely with local unit leaders and Mettler-Toledo HR colleagues from other units
  • The ability to help lead an organization with over 150 employees, with 100 working in the manufacturing facility
  • The work location is in Thorofare, New Jersey. The expectation is to be on premise at the facility.
  • SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP or SPHR/PHR certifications are preferred
  • Familiarity with global manufacturing

About Mettler Toledo

This position is for a New Jersey unit of Mettler-Toledo named Troemner. We are located about 15 miles from Philadelphia in Thorofare, NJ. Mettler-Toledo acquired Troemner in 2016. Since 1840, Troemner has long legacy of excellence to offer our employees and customers. Our weights are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility using the finest materials and equipment available. We provide unmatched measurements and metrological analysis. In addition to weights and calibration services, we also manufacture a full line of laboratory equipment including shakers, hotplates, and vortex mixers. 

The Human Resources leader we seek is a critical part of this unit's senior leadership team reporting to the General Manager.
