SAP Materials Data Steward (Marketing)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Marketing Organization (MO) Material Data Steward, as part of the is part of the Product Management team, manages new material introductions in the company's ERP system, provides monthly sales forecasting input to the logistics hub, and initiates continuous improvement of material data management processes.  The Data Steward is the MO champion of master data policies and comprehends all aspects of data relationships required to ensure transactions are successfully processed in SAP and associated systems.  Works closely with all stakeholders to establish and conduct monthly review of outbound customer performance quality metrics. Additional responsibilities include data analysis in support of the organizations Product Managers activities, product sales analysis and customer facing market activities.

  • Active ownership of material data introduction process and procedures within the Marketing Organization
  • Collaborate functionally across business units, data owners, SAP and associated systems to make informed decisions ensuring integrity of data and successful business transactions
  • Manage monthly sales analysis and forecast input to organization's logistic hub
  • Perform master date related setups and maintenance activities within company's ERP system
  • Create and maintain current documentation of business processes, checklists, templates, training procedures, and workflow processes pertaining to material introductions and monthly business analysis
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of logistic hubs performance with On Time Deliveries (OTD) and similar customer performance matrixes
  • Train business users on master data request and enrichment processes and related system use
  • Respond quickly to queries and customer care issues
  • Create and maintain dashboards for product manager
  • Help and execute on customer facing activities (tradeshow management, marketing documents etc.)


What You Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years experience managing business critical data in enterprise systems with preference for SAP
  • Strong cross-functional team contributor with an ability to work with many levels of the company
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision including good decision making skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
