National Gas Analytics Business Development Manager

Mettler Toledo Process Analytics is a leading supplier to end-users and system integrators for liquid and gas analytical measurement solutions to control production processes.

The National Gas Analytics Business Development Manager is responsible and has ownership for leading critical growth of the company’s gas analytics product portfolio in strategic market segments within the US. This position is the lead proponent for accelerating business development and sales growth of the US gas analytics market segment.

This is a remote, work from home/field position. Close proximity to a major airport would be an advantage. South, Gulf Coast and Midwest would be preferred, but is not mandatory.
 
What you'll be doing:
  • In conjunction with regional sales managers, you will take ownership of and externally lead, drive and support the sales channel for Gas Analytics portfolio sales cycle by identifying and generating leads, providing field technical support, providing general sales support required to successfully close opportunities
  • Conduct pipeline reviews, and maintain SAP CRM database
  • Meet or exceed US Gas Analytics product line sales targets
  • Work alongside Product Managers to communicate product/application issues and establish and implement resolution plans
  • Act as the conduit from the US to the Global Product Manager (PM) relative to applications
  • Conduct training programs for MT employees and channel partners

What You Need to Succeed

Who You Are

An innovative, creative thinker, salesperson and a hands-on problem solver with strong knowledge of chemical, petrochemical and refining applications.  You provide timely, routine communication and follow-up with sales reps and RSM’s regarding open opportunities and determining what can be done to push these to closure

 

Experience and Skills you have

  • Demonstrated success in sales, preferably of instrumentation, analyzers or water/process treatment chemicals
  • Ability to drive and support the sales channel, and lead critical growth of strategic market segments.
  • A degree in Engineering, Science or other related field, with strong knowledge of chemical, petrochemical and refining applications; or possess equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time throughout the US
