Supply Chain Improvement Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This position will lead the advancement of Mettler Toledo's supply chain through the development of strategic initiatives that support the Global Supply Chain Strategy. Working with colleagues in R&D, Sales, Service and Finance, you will develop processes and policies that are aligned across the organization, improving overall efficiency and effectiveness. Your work with data analysis and reporting will help our internal customers proactively identify supply chain disruptions, before they are visible to our external customers. You will use your SAP knowledge to advance the knowledge of end users, and assist in the development of processes that leverage the Mettler Toledo SAP Template. 

 Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Proactively identify deficiencies in supply chain performance and engage key stakeholders in driving short-term and long-term solutions 
  • Manage, from creation to completion, all aspects of multiple complex projects with a high number of stakeholders across all areas of Supply Chain, in support of the GSCM Strategy. Develop the Goals, timeline and manage the onboarding of team members to the project. 
  • Develop, document and implement best practices for supply chain processes. 
  • Drive measurable improvements in Performance to Customer and Cost Leadership metrics. 
  • Develop processes, systems, reporting and analytics to support improved supply chain visibility within the Business Units and at a Corporate Level 
  • Improve back office operations and process to increase efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Develop and implement training, processes, and documentation as needed to meet performance targets 
  • Enable the Supply Chain to timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of goods to internal and external customers 
  • Assist adoption of standardized processes and implementation of SAP

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is a requirement. 
  • Three or more years experience in driving supply chain improvements in Planning, Manufacturing and Logistics, and with functional partners (Sales, R&D, IT, etc.) is required. Experience, with Portfolio Management (Product Manager) and life cycle maintenance preferred. 
  • Through knowledge of SAP ECC (Material Master maintenance, Vendor Master, Bill of Material) is strongly preferred, with 3+ years of working experience. 
  • Strong Change Management, Communication and Analytical skills are required
  • Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP) knowledge/experience is required
