Technical Support Representative

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Improve people's lives through science by providing technical support to our customers.  Responsibilities include:

•Respond to external and internal customer requests for product selection and product use and setup advice and technical assistance on Rainin software platforms and embed system instruments.
•Research and resolve technically challenging or complicated issues impacting external and internal customers. Requires working with various departments throughout the Corporate organization, including customer service, sales, product management, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, etc.
•Perform related administrative duties to support department operations and initiatives, including light data analysis, compiling and writing reports, logging data into management systems, updating records, and document filing.
•Attend meetings, including quality review and new product development meetings, to represent the technical support team and to provide feedback and analysis derived from interactions with customers.
•May provide training to new employees and sales reps.
•May provide input to or directly be involved with the development of support documentation, including developing technical bulletins, product manuals, and service procedures.

What You Need to Succeed

•Associate Degree in computer science or High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in computer science, Instrumentation, Customer Service Call
•Center,training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
•Previous knowledge or work experience with software platform and embedded systems a must.  
•Cisco network certification (CCNA level Networking ) a plus.
•Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  
•Ability to write correspondence.  
•Ability to effectively present verbal information to customers and other employees of the organization. 
•Basic understanding in IT infrastructure networks, including switches, routers, and access points. 
•Ability to multi-task
•Willingness to ask for and offer help when needed.
