- In collaboration with the commercial team, the product manager will own and be responsible for growing the Rainin product portfolio with a goal of increasing market share and increasing revenue. This will include supporting the production of sales collateral that provides appealing value messaging as well as analyzing competitive products and providing sales channels with compelling arguments against competitive products.
- Work closely with customers and strategic partners to gather input in order to develop innovative and disruptive new product ideas, write appropriate business and specification documents that drive the development of new products.
- Be an integral part of the product development team to ensure successful implementation of product requirements and drive product development to commercial launch, acting as the voice of the customer.
- Perform competitive and market analysis to understand our customer’s full range of alternatives and Rainin's positioning with respect to those alternatives.
- Train the sales teams and support selling activities as appropriate, including development of sales tools and marketing collateral.
- Work with the operations team for all aspects of operation such as quality, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Support Tech support, sales teams and market organizations around the world.
- Manage product life cycle for pipettes.
- Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 20%.
- BS degree in Biological Sciences
- 2+ years product management, product marketing, strategy, or similar experience
- Lab bench experience and understanding of workflow in life science applications
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Experience working in Product development cycle/phases
- Effective communication skills
- Experiences preferred but not required:
- MBA degree
- Experience in primary and secondary market research
- Experience in robotic or high through-put instruments
- Experience in instrument service
