- Working with hardware and software teams, improving system functionality, software robustness, and usability.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining software test cases for software products and generating test artifacts.
- Conducting various types of testing, such as smoke testing, regression testing, and performance testing, to ensure products meet design and behavioral expectations.
- Performing verification tests for instrument products and accessories.
- Reporting bugs generated by testing activities in a manner consistent with current practices.
- Performing systems testing and troubleshooting to assist in identifying and solving product issues.
- Validating fixes to ensure effectiveness of corrective measures and avoiding introduction of new bugs.
- Providing recommendations for changes to existing test cases to improve breadth and depth of testing and updating test cases to provide future testing coverage of customer reported problems.
- Managing and maintaining test tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition for testing and development activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer sciences, or related scientific field.
- Three years of experience in software and hardware testing.
- Experience in an instrument company or lab work environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, adapting to agile or waterfall methodologies as needed.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting, comfortable interactive with a wide variety of subject matter experts, stakeholders, and global teams.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Must be located within one hour of our Columbia, MD office for the hybrid work model.
