Technical Lead- Test

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Main technical point of contact for the team
  • Design, implement and maintain reusable code for test automation framework components.
  • Perform test design and Code reviews.
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing / test automation development as per standards defined by the organization.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate the technical dependencies and risks.
  • Support team to troubleshoot issues. Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive mechanisms.
  • Ensure content and structure of all testing / test automation artifacts are documented and maintained.
  • Develop coding standards and recommend continuous improvement of processes for test automation.
  • Keep yourself and the team updated with latest industry developments and share ideas to improve test methods.
  • Develop and maintain the technology stack associated with the test automation framework and related components.



What You Need to Succeed

Qualifications: Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science and engineering or any related field. Graduates with Test automation engineering background (using Python)

Experience: 8 to 12 years of experience in testing domain, with a minimum of 5 years in test automation (predominantly Python) and 2+ years in a Lead role, leading a Test automation team

Required skills:
  • Proficient in Python programming
  • ISTQB Certified or equivalent experience in Embedded system testing
  • Prior experience in designing and maintaining Test automation frameworks modules / libraries.
  • Able to perform manual testing also.
  • Automating test cases in Squish based on specifications in MS Azure DevOps-Good knowledge on Squish development rather than usage
  • Proficient in understanding and analyzing the requirements and provide the estimates.
  • Planning and executing test case adaption based on those requirements.
  • Maintaining the libraries and adapt test cases for QML changes.
  • Analyzing failed test cases, follow the defect management process and dynamic in resolving issues.
  • Strong test design and review skills
  • Must have hands-on experience in Git, CI/CD pipelines.
  • A passion for clean code and pragmatic, elegant design and proficient in providing technical solutions.
  • Strong exposure to Development life cycle and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
  • Willingness to work in an international team across time zones, preferably has prior experience collaborating with international teams.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

Nice to have:
  • Hands on experience with QT/QML and C#
  • Experience on instrument firmware testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lab balances / Laboratory domain
