Inventory Specialist - - 22156

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Inventory Specialist will work with the Inventory Control Leader in managing warehouse inventory to appropriate levels while ensuring accuracy in all facets of the process; always supporting the profitability and viability of Mettler Toledo, Inc. The Inventory Specialist will work with other members of the logistics team to provide support to all areas of the manufacturing departments. This position will also support continuous activity and lean implementation projects throughout the entire organization. What you will do:

Assist in the day-to-day management of the below inventory areas and tasks which includes (but is not limited to):

adjustment transactions
discrepancy analysis and corrective action
inventory reports
cycle counting
performance metrics
excess / obsolete reviews

Participate in the twice-yearly physical inventories; participating in setup, auditing during the process and post inventory root cause analysis
Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent or a combination of a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a related discipline

Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Experience with ERP software (SAP preferred).
Demonstrated ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and manage multiple objectives with minimal direct supervision.
Demonstrated ability to bring tasks through completion.
Ability to safely lift 50lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, lay, squat, ben, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
Manufacturing background a plus
Ability to logically address, analyze, and resolve problems
Have a high energy level and drive
Have a hands-on style and a willingness to perform a range of detail-level work, i.e. a doer rather than an administrator
Ability to work overtime
