Inside Sales Representative

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This role is part of the Inside Sales Team in Columbus, Ohio, focusing on delivering exceptional proactive support to Laboratory and Industrial customers. The Inside Sales Representatives will support the Field Sales organization while also prospecting to arrange sales visits and online meetings with high-priority accounts. The position requires collaboration with marketing, field, and management teams to enhance customer service and drive sales revenue. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize outbound prospecting to identify contacts in target accounts. 
  • Facilitate account visits and meetings for Field Sales Representatives. 
  • Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, acting as the face of METTLER TOLEDO. 
  • Collaborate with field sales reps to strategize account penetration plans. 
  • Generate leads by connecting with customers and submitting lead details for high-end product opportunities. 
  • Maintain data accuracy in the CRM system. 
  • Provide weekly updates to management on business issues and trends requiring proactive strategies. 
  • Possess strong knowledge of Laboratory & Industrial products and services, as well as internal sales and marketing applications, including SAP CRM and ECC. 
  • Demonstrate effective time management and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required 
  • At least 1 year in sales, customer service and/or marketing experience 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs 
  • A preference for work in a fast-paced sales environment 
  • Excellent people skills to create rapport with prospects quickly 
  • Inbound or outbound call center experience or worked in a sales development role before is a plus
  • Experience using SAP's CRM system is a plus 
  • The ability to determine when and how to involve other departments and teams to ensure that exceptional support is being provided to internal and external customers at all time
