Solutions Lab Group Leader

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Solutions Lab Operator III to lead our Solutions Lab team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing of solutions, ensuring strict adherence to 5S practices, training lab personnel, managing production priorities, and maintaining Kanban integrity. This is a hands-on leadership position within a fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Lead the Solutions Lab area by driving 5S initiatives, cross-training staff, updating Tier I SQDC and Hour by Hour boards, and setting team priorities. 
  • Own and manage the Solutions manufacturing process. 
  • Train and develop laboratory team members. 
  • Ensure safety compliance in handling equipment and systems. 
  • Produce and test chemical solutions, ensuring quality and consistency. 
  • Test and validate lab systems to meet regulatory and industry standards. 
  • Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation. 
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections, document non-conforming materials, and manage material traceability. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance on lab equipment and systems.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Associate's degree in chemistry or equivalent lab experience. 
  • 5+ years working in a laboratory environment. 
  • 2+ years working as a group leader in a laboratory environment. 
  • Ability to use electronic equipment such as transmitters, TOC autosamplers, etc. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet production deadlines. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm with overtime as needed. Must be able to commute to our Billerica, MA location.
