- Engineering Change Management & Global Coordination (50%)
- Lead the full ECM lifecycle (application, evaluation, approval, and implementation) ensuring traceability and cross-functional synergy.
- Act as the primary technical bridge to global SBUs to align on product strategies and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with LCC teams to identify and execute systematic cost-reduction (VAVE) roadmaps.
- NPD & ETO Support (30%)
- Lead mechanical design for major new products or complex ETO orders, taking full accountability for design accuracy (DFMEA) and "Fit-for-Use" quality.
- Drive modularity and platform-based thinking to maximize component reuse and shorten development cycles.
- Optimize the manufacturing process of the "Metal Detector Head" (e.g., potting compounds, shielding materials) to improve detection sensitivity and environmental stability
- Product Lifecycle Management (20%)
- Resolve complex field quality issues and lead continuous improvement for existing product lines (BOM maintenance, drawing updates, standardization).
- Solve critical quality issues related to material wear, chemical corrosion (from food/pharma cleaning agents), and mechanical deformation.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Work Experience
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial equipment, automation machinery, or precision instruments.
- Proven track record in Engineering Change Management (ECM) and successful Cost Reduction (Cost Down) projects.
- Expertise in DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) and DFMEA tools.
- Experience collaborating with global teams and supply chain partners within a multinational or matrix organization.
- Technical Skills
- Design Excellence: Proficient in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD) for complex assemblies, sheet metal, machining, and weldments.
- Deep Material Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical properties, chemical stability, and cost structures of metals (stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel) and non-metals (engineering plastics, special rubbers, ceramics). Familiarity with advanced composites or coatings is a plus.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Deep understanding of machining, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing processes.
- System-Level Thinking: Familiar with mechanical transmissions (belts, gears, cams), pneumatic systems, and basic mechatronic control logic.
- Compliance & Safety: Experience with CE standards, hygienic design (food/pharmaceutical), and IP protection ratings is highly preferred.
