- Multimedia Production:
- Managing all aspects of animation projects, video, and still shoots from concept to delivery, including pre-production meetings, location coordination and prep, camera operation, lighting and audio set-up, and publishing to the relevant channels.
- Managing and executing all aspects of post-production, from rough-cut and fine-cut editing to finishing work like color correction, basic audio mixing, graphics, and animations, compressing and exporting, and archiving.
- Respecting and promoting compliance with corporate branding guidelines, including providing input to Group Communications regarding video and media templates and guidelines.
- Managing internal and external multimedia production resources and vendors.
- Multimedia Content Leadership:
- Helping to define and manage AutoChem multimedia strategy based on business objectives, analysis of past performance, and industry trends.
- Leading definition and creation of multimedia elements for marketing campaigns and programs, ensuring a strong fit with campaign/program messaging and overall brand image, and identifying and filling content gaps for upcoming programs.
- Ensuring a cohesive visual and thematic style across AutoChem multimedia content. Managing the AutoChem YouTube channel and ads, including optimization of usability and search engine ranking, understanding/implementation of new feature development, and analysis of channel KPIs.
- Columbia eLab Management:
- Managing Columbia eLab space, including room schedule, inventory and equipment, and maintenance of a clean and safe space.
- Overseeing execution of virtual events and driving engagement with stakeholder groups to maximize utilization and value of the space, as well as in-person events when applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, video production, film, or a related field is desired but not required.
- 2-5 years of related experience producing video content for a scientific audience.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premier, YouTube, and After Effects.
- Desire to help with script writing/revising.
