Shipper/Assembler - 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday - - 18017

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Mettler Toledo Shipping / Assembly Associate completes shipment transactions, maintains stock control, pulls product and parts for specific customer orders, configures products using various hand assembly techniques, packages the product, and loads / unloads freight.

Enhance facility performance through proactive actions relating to:

Complete accurate shipping transactions and quality product assembly utilizing production supporting documentation; including but not limited to production orders, standard work, blue prints and other documents related to the shipping and assembly of products.
Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that the bill of lading and shipped orders are routed appropriately.
Understand and strictly adhere to all hazardous material shipping guidelines.
Maintain accurate written records such as production orders, test sheets, shipping documentation, pack lists, and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) sheets. Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, assemble / pack products, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.
Adhere to 5S standards and practices.
Assist in accurate collection of SQDC data.

What You Need to Succeed

Product shipping, assembly, and test experience.
Experience operating the dock plates while loading and unloading of trucks/trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, cranes and jib hoists
Experience working in a fast-paced team oriented environment.
Experience in reading, comprehending, and following shipping / assembly / test / quality assurance procedures and engineering prints.
Basic computer experience Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques
Ability to work overtime when required (some could be on weekends).
Ability to work from order schedules.
Ability to follow directions.
