Electromechanical Assembly Operator II

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As our Assembly Operator II, you will be responsible for assembling medium complexity, high-volume assemblies and products according to specific work instructions and quality standards. You will have proficient use of hand tools used to perform automated testing and verification during the manufacturing process. You will also adhere to instructions or documentation provided to prep, build, test, and package precision measurement and electro-mechanical instruments used to monitor or measure characteristics of liquids. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Reading and interpreting medium complexity assembly instructions, schematics, and blueprints. 
  • Assembling parts or products using hands tools and power tools such as box and crescent wrenches, heat guns, soldering irons, potting dispensers, microscopes, screwdrivers, rivet guns, arbor presses, spot welders, and multi-meters. 
  • Inspecting and testing assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards. 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues as they arise. 
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area according to 5S standards. 
  • Following all safety procedures and protocols. 
  • Documenting and recording assembly activities and results. 
  • Printing, applying labels, and packaging products as required for shipment according to the work instructions. 
  • Reviewing and confirming production orders in SAP. Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • High school diploma or equivalent with further education such as technical/vocational school preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices. 
  • Ability to work onsite in Billerica, MA, Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm, with overtime during the week and Saturdays as needed.
