Role/Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of HR, this position will assist with the activities and projects that support the employees and the businesses of Product Inspection. These activities involve benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting support, policy administration, onboarding, HR analytics, employee engagement, training and employee development. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support leadership and HR Managers with employee development and performance management.
  • Assists HR management with the Global Performance Management (GPM) process as needed.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals.
  • Assist with maintenance of  human resources databases, computer software systems (HCM records in SAP) and filing systems related to HR transactions (benefit plan participation/open enrollment, hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations).
  • Gather and analyze data utilizing HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Assist with recruiting efforts including; partnering with HR Managers to update current job descriptions and manage the approval process for new ones, interview job applicants on the phone or in person and make recommendations regarding applicant’s qualifications. 
  • Assist with intake of employee complaints and escalation as appropriate to HR Manager with recommendations for remediation. 
  • Provide effective employee assistance/service to employees with problem resolution and questions related to Human Resources programs.
  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees.
  • Support employees with various HR-related topics such as leaves and payroll and partner with respective departments to resolve any issues. 
  • Manage the employee leave (FMLA, disability,maternity, personal andworkers comp, etc) process.  Ensuring that employees are aware of all applicable policies and benefits.  Communicates with managers regarding employee leave status.  Follows up with employees regarding return to work timelines, etc.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation.
  • Assists with the onboarding process (equipment, LMS, etc) designed to acclimate new hires to their job and the Product Inspection culture.  
  • Prepares and submits payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees; administers the time tracking system (Kronos).
  • Support training and development initiatives.
  • Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and make recommendations regarding any identified commonalities.  
  • Update facility policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain bulletin boards including federal and state-required postings, and company announcements.
  • Responsible for the HR SharePoint and associated maintenance.
  • Partner with the HR Leaders and Recruiting to manage the Immigration/Visa application process.
  • Lead Activities Committee and coordinate, organize and plan company events and social functions.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, etc.) 
  • High School degree or GED required.  Bachelor Degree in HR, Business or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years Human Resource Generalist experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and Outlook proficiency required
  • SAP and/or Kronos experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
