- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on X-Rays, Metal Detectors and Checkweighers at customer sites, following established procedures and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs as needed.
- Ensure customer uptime requirements are met and that PM work at assigned accounts are completed on time
- Complete system configuration and testing prior to delivery
- Provide technical solutions consultant and application support to the customer and the sales force
- Responsible for resolving first line customer complaints and invoicing problems
- Maintain your company vehicle and assigned parts inventory in a clean, organized, and compliant manner
- A two-year college diploma in Engineering/Mechanical/Electronics/Instrumentation Technology OR equivalent education and experience in a technical support role, technical troubleshooting or technical installation in industrial electronics, or electromechanical technology industry.
- Competent in using PCs, smartphones, and mobile applications, skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to learn proprietary METTLER TOLEDO software to review and update information.
- Competent using basic troubleshooting tools including multimeter and the oscilloscope
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to lift, transport and place components and equipment up to 40 Kg
- Occasional travel across Canada
- Must be willing to work overtime, some weekends and holidays
- Must be available to work flexible hours
- A clear record on the Driver's Abstract
- Must be able to travel to the USA for training bi-annually
