Automation Test Architect

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Automation Test Architect is responsible for defining the automation approach, strategy, and overall shape of automated functional tests, development of automated scripts, design of manual test cases, conducting functional requirements analysis, and cooperation with Technical Quality Assurance Engineers. The Architect will also work on KPIs and metrics reporting to ensure the best possible visibility into this critical foundation of our software and its source code quality.

Your tasks:
  • Develop automated testing scripts (coding, based on manual scenarios/TCs).
  • Customize and maintain Test Automation tools - new features development, e.g. automated executions scheduling during the weekend.
  • Review and maintain Manual Test Cases for better traceability matrix between manual and automated test cases.
  • Own Test Automation infrastructure, configure/maintain and coordinate with Technical Team. This will include the identification of requests for required hardware for all automation test objectives.
  • Define and create automation test sets.
  • Create and update existing automation test scripts (coding e.g. with UFT).
  • Verify and analyze results, solve potential problems, bottlenecks.
  • Manage and coordinate test data preparation process - golden data set.
  • Analyze scope for the automation, best approach selection, and definition.
  • Define coding standards for automated functional tests.
  • Provide a technical framework for an automated testing suite.
  • Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance to plan. 
  • Anticipate program release problems and take corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments. 
  • Work with TQA and Senior TQA team members to execute functional automated tests.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with automated functional testing.
  • Solid experience in testing automation tools, e.g. HP Unified Functional Testing or similar.
  • Background in programming and/or scripting languages like Python, Visual Basic Script, Java.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business or Technology or equivalent and/ or a experience and demonstrated excellence within software quality assurance and automation.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Quality Assurances processes.
  • Wide understanding of Client/Server architecture.
  • Experience with UiPath Testing or similar tool is strongly preferred.
