Senior Network Engineer 100% (f/m/d)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Digital Business Services (DBS) department provides cost effective IT infrastructure services to the Group, defines and implements infrastructure policies, solutions, architecture and standards. It builds and operates an effective hub organization supporting the shared Group IT infrastructure and centralized application platforms, hosting more than 2000 servers in a fully virtualized environment and overseeing three global datacenters. For the Network Services team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer 100% (f/m/d). 

The position is located at our global operational headquarters in Greifensee, Zurich. 

In this role, you will be responsible for the evaluation, design, planning, implementation and support of Network related solutions with a global scope. You will be joining an international team of Solution Architects and Engineers from Europe, Asia and the United States, contributing to continuously optimize our IT infrastructure services.

Your responsibilities: 
  • Manage the Global Network Infrastructure in 100+ sites worldwide in collaboration with the operation team
  • As part of Global Operations team troubleshoot network problems in WAN, LAN, WLAN, Firewalls
  • Cooperate with Solution Architects to help design networks to meet to business needs
  • Create and document high-level and detailed network designs for new and existing datacenters.
  • Plan and implement changes/projects/upgrades of various network areas
  • Support Microsoft Azure Cloud Services from Network perspective
  • Support SD-WAN Project Implementation

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems (or a related field), or equivalent experience 
  • At least 5 years of experience focused on large scale network LAN/WAN/WLAN operations and design
  • Expert skills in Cisco routing & switching in LAN, WAN and Data Center topologies
  • Solid background on DNS, DHCP, Network Access Control (NAC) and ACL 
  • You have a CCNP, CCDP Certification or higher
  • Moderate knowledge of Cisco WLAN products and Firewall technologies
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco Prime, Cisco Viptela & Meraki Solution skills are preferred
  • Authentic, self-driven team player with a result- and customer oriented mindset
  • Experience with working on international multi-cultural environments
  • Excellent written and spoken English, German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel worldwide depending on business needs (up to 20%)
