Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The PMO Project Excellence Specialist is responsible for providing high level quality assurance and support in all aspects of the project implementation for the portfolio of projects and initiatives within the Digital Business Services (DBS) organization. 

He/She will work within the PMO Project Excellence team and will support the definition, creation and maintenance of excellence best practices, trainings and toolkits, as well as track adherence to Project Excellence guidelines. He/She will also be responsible for leading internal projects managed by the PMO. The Project Excellence Specialist will report to the Manager of Project Excellence & Retrofit. 

Project Excellence:
  • Support process definition for Project Excellence framework
  • Maintain Project Excellence toolkits, training material and resource platforms 
  • Conduct trainings and provide coaching on Project Excellence Best Practices 
  • Conduct regular meetings with Project Managers to review progress and highlight potential risks / issues where applicable 
  • Provide ongoing guidance and act as a sounding board to discuss project issues
  • Support Project Managers on project specific operational or management issues 
  • Support Project Managers in defining viable solutions that address bottlenecks 
 Project Management:
  • Manage assigned projects over the entire life cycle to implement solution within given timeline, budget and with quality
  • Prioritize and assign project tasks to available project team members; monitor and control task execution 
  • Identify, plan and monitor change management, training and communication deliverables
  • Proactively manage project stakeholder engagement and communications i.e. Project Sponsors etc. 
  • Monitor project risks/issues and develop mitigation plans
  • Update project management tools according to standards indicated by PMO
  • Lead multinational teams, motivate and support team members from different countries/cultures

What You Need to Succeed

  • Educational background
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Excellent English is a must Qualifications 
  • 5 years IT Project Management experience 
  • Knowledge of common IT project management methods (e.g. PMI, Agile)
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Collaborative, proactive, creative, can-do attitude, results & deadline oriented.
