Warehouse Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join our Operations team at our brand new facility in Royston, check it out following this link:

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of all operations within the warehouse and the strategic development of the area.

The Warehouse Manager will develop, communicate and deliver a strategic vision for the warehouse team to provide customer service excellence by maintain a high-level of picking accuracy of 98% on-time in full. The Warehouse Manager will also manage and develop the warehouse function including organizational design, target operating models, daily team management, team development, staff recruitment incl. successful on-boarding and process development.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensure all goods are received into the business from vendors in accordance with work instructions and maintain and develop the work instructions.
  • Ensure inventory is physically located into their appropriate storage locations to appropriate standards and look to improve standards.
  • Replenish lineside stock on a daily basis and maintain shortage / stock out listing to drive corrective actions
  • Physically pick parts to fulfil production orders, in accordance with SOP's and own and develop these SOPs
  • Control of External Yard daily maintenance sign off sheet and waste bin management for site.
  • Attend standard daily meetings and prepare daily KPI reports as required for functional area.
  • Manage general warehouse duties, stock takes, 5S, run daily team meeting.
  • Ensure ECR's are processed in a timely manner.
  • Root cause analysis of stock discrepancies.
  • Compliance to documentation and record storage requirements.
  • Create and ensure that standard work is clear, transparent and followed within the team
  • Deputize for other colleagues within Logistics where necessary.
  • Be fully conversant with all HS&E procedures and to implement and comply with them. To report any non-conformance through the agreed procedure. To assist the company in meeting its HS&E objectives.
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all Quality Assurance procedures at all time.  

What You Need to Succeed

  • Experience working in a stores management role
  • Leadership experience where you can develop and motivate a high performing team
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Working knowledge of PC & Microsoft Package
  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck License (Flexi Forklift Truck License desirable)
  • SAP experience
  • This post involves a moderate amount of manual handling
