Logistics Coordinator

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Mettler Toledo Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the outbound delivery processes, providing quotes and communications between internal groups and customers, and resolving internal quality issues to ensure a quick resolution to meet our customer's delivery expectations. They also play a critical role in driving On-Time Delivery (OTD), maintaining SAP shipping/order alignment processes, and archiving delivery documents. 

  • Ensure on time delivery of MTMS outbound deliveries. 
  • Monitor and problem resolution of delivery and transfer order creation, including expediting production orders to ensure timely delivery creation. 
  • Monitor and problem resolution of goods issue processing. 
  •  Maintain shipment archives both domestic and international. 
  • Facilitate the correction of internal errors identified by support and the MTMS Team. 
  • Communicate with internal and external organizations, including freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely resolution of outbound issues and daily pickups. 
  • Facilitate the consolidation of material from various facilities as required by the customer for single shipments. 
  • Facilitate processing of Returns with production and quality teams. 
  • Provide freight quotes to internal customers. 
  • General outbound support as needed. 
  • Assist in driving a lean culture within the MTMS organization. 
  • Resolve any problems that occur during shipment such as tracing lost shipments or filing insurance claims. 
  • Manage the MTMS Freight quote email account. 
  • Provide customer support via telephone, e-mail, Microsoft Teams, or other communication methods. 
  • Provide support to, and act as a backup for, Vehicle Delivery and Truck Scale Assembly Supervisor as needed. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • High School Diploma is required
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations and/or order coordination
  • Associate degree in Logistics or related field is preferred
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
