Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Electro/Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the development of ultrapure water sensors and analyzers. This role requires a hands-on technician who will support a multi-disciplinary team working with a range of technologies including optical, electronic, software, chemical, mechanical, and microbiological components. You will assist in both the design and testing phases, ensuring that all systems and components function seamlessly. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects by providing support in testing and assembly tasks. You will be involved in the long-term unit testing and maintenance, calibration, and service of our devices, becoming proficient in operating and maintaining lab instrumentation, analyzers, and sensors. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Running performance tests of mechanical, optical, and fluidic assemblies.
- Assembling prototypes, alpha and beta units, while documenting the build experience.
- Developing and supporting the development of test plans as well as recording and documenting results from test plans.
- Conducting system repeatability tests, lifetime tests, and MTTF tests across prototypes, sub-assemblies, and complete units.
- Producing calibration solutions for analyzers and sensors required for testing and calibration purposes and maintaining testing records.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all tests, modifications, and calibrations. Reporting findings and providing feedback to engineers, scientists, and project managers.
- Associates degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or BA/BSc in technical field with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with optical, fluidic, and electronic testing procedures.
- Experience working with and creating documentation, test plans, and results.
- Ability to work fully onsite at our office in Billerica, MA.
