Software Product Manager (AutoChem)

AutoChem is a strategic business unit within the Lab division of Mettler Toledo. At AutoChem, we provide solutions to our customers in the pharmaceutical, chemical, CDMO/CRMO and other industries to aid their process development and scale-up activities. We develop synthesis, sampling and reaction analysis and reaction insights tools for scientists, providing them the information they need to deliver life-changing products. Our industry-leading software solutions enable our customers to manage, optimize, and improve experiments and production scale-up. Our iC Suite software is highly regarded and a leading product within the industry. We are looking for a Software Product Manager 100% (all genders).

Our team is dedicated to strengthening our software product management capabilities. You will report to the Head of the iC Software SPG and join a dynamic and fun team that is at the forefront of small and large molecule development in the biopharma industry.
This role is central to the success and continued growth of our software platform. You will be responsible for managing key elements of our Software Portfolio worldwide on a day-to-day basis. This includes translating feedback from the market on our software products into key initiatives for growth and the development of our software products. You will also provide advanced software support for both internal colleagues and our external customers.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  •  You will take proactive ownership of the AutoChem software product lifecycle for assigned products, focusing on continuous improvement to exceed customer expectations.
  •  You will engage regularly with key end-users and product champions at customer sites to gather feedback and ensure products deliver maximum value.
  •  You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including sales, field service, support, and development - to align product strategy and execution.
  •  You will define and prioritize product requirements based on customer insights, market trends, and business goals, and closely working with the development teams.
  •  You will collaborate with the hardware and service product management team to deliver complete solutions to our customers.
  •  You will drive the development and delivery of internal training programs that enhance understanding of software features, usage, and positioning.
  •  You will analyze software usage data and customer feedback to identify product improvements and new feature opportunities.
  •  You will act as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for product enhancements and improved user experience.
  •  You will support product roadmap planning and participate in the execution of new product development and release cycles.
  •  You will provide strategic input on user experience and interface design to guide the development of the next generation iC software platform.

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role:
  •  You possess a Master's Degree in (Bio)Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or Science, or a Bachelor's Degree in a similar field combined with additional relevant experience.
  •  You have a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with customer service/support being a strong plus.
  •  You have knowledge of and experience with Azure DevOps, IT infrastructure, or data analysis/visualization (a plus).
  •  You have strong computer skills and are proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  •  You have excellent communication skills with the ability to perform effectively in challenging environments.
  •  You are experienced in conducting training or presenting to groups, both in person and remotely.
  •  You have the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  •  You are willing and able to travel up to 20%.
  •  You have strong interpersonal skills, are fluent in English, and thrive in a multicultural, international setting, German is a plus.
