Field Service Technician

Summary
Eagle Product Inspection Field Service Technicians (FSTs) deliver world-class customer support by performing start-ups, audits, maintenance, repairs, and training for Eagle X-Ray systems. They manage all aspects of field service—customer communication, scheduling, reporting, documentation, and job management—while adhering to Eagle’s safety standards, procedures, and best practices.
Locations - IA, AR, KS, MO
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all Eagle, MT-PI, and customer site safety requirements.
  • Attend weekly service calls and execute scheduled service visits efficiently, balancing cost, time, and customer expectations.
  • Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues (aiming for first-time fix).
  • Complete and submit accurate service reports, timesheets, and expenses promptly.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain technical training, tools, and company-provided equipment.
  • Participate in remote support and on-call rotations, including weekend or after-hours work.
  • Uphold Eagle’s core values and Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

Education
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology preferred.
Experience & Skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Skilled in conflict management and collaboration across teams.
  • Proficient with hand tools, test equipment, and Windows applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe).
  • Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, conveyors, and AC/DC systems; able to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Fluency in English required, Spanish a plus.
