- Create high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, service manuals, and troubleshooting guides. Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, user-focused content that meets applicable standards and requirements.
- Create, edit, and maintain documentation for Product Inspection solutions. Review and revise content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity. Support product launches by delivering complete and timely documentation.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, software developers, service teams, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, validate, and maintain technical information. Develop a strong understanding of products and services to ensure documentation accuracy.
- Author and maintain structured content using Schema ST4 and component content management methodologies. Manage content reuse, topic-based authoring, metadata, and information architecture. Coordinate localization and translation workflows with internal and external providers.
- Follow and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and content management best practices. Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, regulatory requirements, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technical documentation best practices. Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes through automation, content reuse, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience, preferably within a technical or technology-focused industry.
- Experience developing technical documentation for products that combine software, hardware, electronics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Experience managing documentation across multiple product releases and development projects.
- Working knowledge of Component Content Management Systems (CCMS).
- A higher qualification in Technical Communication or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of technical communication principles and best practices.
- Experience with Schema ST4 or similar component content management systems such as IXIASOFT CCMS, SDL Tridion Docs, DITAworks, or Acrolinx.
- Experience creating technical illustrations and graphical content using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Callout Designer.
- Knowledge of XML architecture, structured authoring, and DITA standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Familiarity with HTML, XML, and other markup languages.
- Experience using XML authoring tools such as XMetaL or equivalent solutions.
- Knowledge of translation tools and localization processes.
- Experience creating visual content such as graphics, diagrams, screenshots, and flowcharts is an advantage.
