Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Role/Purpose:

Prep work weldments from engineering drawings utilizing band saws, drill press, hand grinders, and TIG/MIG welding stainless steel. Press brake and sheet metal experience required. Can perform all duties of a Welder 1.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to assemble weldments from drawings 
  • Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, covers
  • Operation of a TIG/MIG welder, setup, and maintenance 
  • Operate drill press, and band saw 
  • Utilize hand grinders/sanders to perform grain finishing 
  • Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and computer  
  • Cut raw material per engineering drawings
  • Group required parts prescribed in BOM
  • Weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders
  • Follow SOP and OPLs
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient blueprint and tape measure knowledge, with attention to dimensions and tolerances
  • Fabrication shop practices
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
  • Capable of performing all Welder I tasks when necessary
  • Organizational proficiency

This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.

**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**

Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade School or Apprentice Program or a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in similar position

  • Welder I based on our Internal Skills Matrix
