Role/Purpose:
Prep work weldments from engineering drawings utilizing band saws, drill press, hand grinders, and TIG/MIG welding stainless steel. Press brake and sheet metal experience required. Can perform all duties of a Welder 1.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to assemble weldments from drawings
- Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, covers
- Operation of a TIG/MIG welder, setup, and maintenance
- Operate drill press, and band saw
- Utilize hand grinders/sanders to perform grain finishing
- Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and computer
- Cut raw material per engineering drawings
- Group required parts prescribed in BOM
- Weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders
- Follow SOP and OPLs
- Other duties as assigned
- Proficient blueprint and tape measure knowledge, with attention to dimensions and tolerances
- Fabrication shop practices
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
- Capable of performing all Welder I tasks when necessary
- Organizational proficiency
**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade School or Apprentice Program or a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in similar position
