Territory Sales Supervisor

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain their own sales territory (sales targets, pipelines, and customers).
  • Maintain focus on opportunity pipelines for assigned reps to support category revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain consistent forecasting accuracy and report forecasting updates to District Manager.
  • Contribute to development of marketing and sales strategies to support growth targets in categories.
  • Assess local market trends around potential challenges and opportunities to grow business.
  • Ensures all sales and customer issues are addressed and responded to in a timely and professional manner. Investigates and resolves customer problems and/or complaints ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain excellent relations with internal and external customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • As part of developing territory strategies and plans; leverages internal resources, service specialists, ComOps, Marketing, and other tools at their disposal to support growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintains high level of Sales Coaching:  Supports consistent sales coaching approach across these critical areas:
                Internal and external communication
                Value Selling Methodology
                Sales Excellence topics
                Assists team with the development of account planning and tactical execution.
               CRM Discipline

  • Provides insight and direction while working with District Manager to support Sales Territory Optimization strategies
  • Ensures team is articulating the Mettler-Toledo RAININ value proposition consistently in all customer interactions.
  • Drives employee development through performance evaluation process
  • Takes active role in the interviewing and hiring processes associated with replacement and expansion sales roles.


What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelors degree, preferably in life sciences discipline
 • 3-5 years sales experience with experience leading or mentoring team members 
• Ability to analyze, synthesize, evaluate and make data-driven decisions 
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and communicate a vision with a passionate belief in, and commitment to customer service 
• Strong focus on fostering excellent relationships, trust and credibility at all levels of the organization 
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills with CRM, Excel, Remote Meeting tools, PowerPoint, Outlook
