Metrology Lab Technician

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Duties 
• Perform routine laboratory mass measurements 
• Analyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency 
• Ensure compliance with industry and basic metrology standards and quality management system requirements 
• Document and report measurement and calibration results 
• Perform Maintenance and performance qualifications on testing equipment 
• When necessary and/or needed, adjustments on any out of tolerance weights 
• Ensuring the traceability and validity of mass measurements 
• Segregating and Identifying any out of tolerance or suspect weights

What You Need to Succeed

Qualifications & Skills 
• Experience or basic understanding with calibration and measurement systems 
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and basic metrology 
• Understanding or experience of Excel 
• Understanding or experience with equipment databases 
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy 
• Prior experience in a laboratory or quality environment 
• Knowledge of quality management systems 
• Basic understanding of a calibration report 
• Understanding of regulatory requirements
