Service Systems Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Are you ready to take on a dynamic and evolving role within a leading company? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Systems Specialist to join our Service Division and provide vital support across all divisions for software and technical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and actively engage in expanding our Software Care contracts to contribute to business growth.
  • Plan, develop methods, and implement software/application projects, gaining knowledge of core applications used by other divisions to provide comprehensive project services.
  • Train end-user customers on application usage to ensure seamless adoption.
  • Configure applications tailored to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
  • Apply knowledge of PLC configuration and API development where applicable.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales specialist support for the Industrial Division’s core applications, Form+ and FormWeigh.
  • Assist service engineers with application-related and technical queries.
  • Deliver product validation services to customers as needed.
  • Conduct internal training sessions for Field Service Representatives (FSRs) and engineers.
Additional Information:

Some travel throughout the UK and occasional overnight stays are required.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Strong ability to work autonomously with a willingness to learn and implement advanced knowledge.
  • Good educational background (minimum GCSE or equivalent).
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and Ethernet networking.
  • Knowledge of PLC ladder logic and API development is advantageous.
  • Experience network-based applications is a plus.
  • Confident, professional, and customer-facing with a positive attitude and the ability to represent Mettler Toledo effectively.
