The Strategic Business Unit Weighing Solutions is in charge for the high-end Laboratory weighing and dosing business within METTLER TOLEDO. As market leader, we differentiate us from followers with unique innovations with perceived customer value. Our main markets are the Pharma, Chemical, Food and Testing Lab industry for R&D, Quality Control and Scale-up/Pre-production workplaces.

In order to ensure the steady growth of the Laboratory Weighing Unit and to guarantee always a high product quality, we are looking for a goal- and strategically oriented Product Manager Embedded Software 80 – 100% (all genders).

In this role, your responsibilities include:

You take full ownership of the embedded software of METTLER TOLEDO’s entire Excellence laboratory balance portfolio
You analyze and understand the lab instrument software customer needs (depending on segment, workflows and applications), market situation and trends, deriving relevant requirements
You develop the software solution strategy based on customer requirements in our target markets and ensure continuous improvements to enable instrument growth
You develop value propositions for current and new software solutions and drive product development projects in close collaboration with R&D and existing software and projects
You promote software solutions actively at market organizations with a value selling type of approach, including related sales and marketing tools as well as trainings, events and market introduction for an effective execution and successful portfolio promotion
You work in conjunction with business area managers and sales force to ensure two-way communication between product management and market organizations
You strengthen software solutions as key differentiator within the portfolio and for competitive positioning

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role:

You either have a scientific background (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology) with profound experience in software or a software background (e.g. Embedded Systems, Computer Science) with some experience in laboratory processes
You possess a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience (e.g. in product management for embedded software solutions) within an international environment, ideally in a global matrix organization
You have a strong customer focus combined with analytical approach, proactive execution, and commercial acumen to recognize business opportunities
You also have the ability to network and communicate effectively with market organizations and customers through excellent interpersonal skills
You have strong organizational and strategic skills, prioritization abilities, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%
