Requirements Engineer

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

For our Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) division, which is the world's leading manufacturer of laboratory balances, we are looking for the Greifensee location, METTLER TOLEDO's global operational headquarters, for an enthusiastic Requirements Engineer 80% – 100% (all genders) to join our R&D organization. 

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  • You gather and analyze user and system requirements to define clear product needs.
  • You document detailed and actionable specifications that guide development teams.
  • You facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with stakeholder expectations.
  • You ensure that requirements support project goals and contribute to successful product delivery.
  • You maintain and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle to adapt to evolving needs and ensure innovative solution development

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role: 
  • You have a higher degree in computer science or electrical engineering (Uni/ETH, FH) or comparable
  • You have at least 2 years of professional experience in requirements engineering, ideally in an industrial high-tech or within a product development environment
  • You have strong communication and moderation skills, conceptual and analytical abilities
  • You possess a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and requirements engineering methodologies.
  • Ideally you have experience with ALMs and requirements tools and frameworks.
  • You demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively in a team environment
  • You speak English (knowledge of German is an advantage) and are motivated to work in an international environment
